Pricing FAQ
How billing works
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions, and checkout and the customer portal are provided by Stripe. A plan change that Stripe reports as an updated subscription applies on Domainvane immediately, including the new domain cap, channels, and report-page cap. Cancellation waits until the end of the period already paid for (see below).
Domainvane stores the subscription state it needs to enforce the plan. This page does not describe where card numbers are stored. Paid checkout is open.
What happens when I cancel?
Cancel returns the account to Free at the end of the current billing period. Until that moment the paid plan stays in force. After that, Free limits apply: 3 domains, email only, no webhook, no Slack webhook, no report pages.
Hostnames over the Free cap are not deleted. The newest hostnames over the cap are paused, and new adds are blocked until the account is back under the cap. An upgrade later does not unpause them. They stay paused until you unpause them. Pausing does not free a slot; deleting a hostname does.
What happens if I downgrade?
A downgrade to a lower paid plan applies immediately. Nothing is deleted. If you have more hostnames than the new cap, the newest hostnames over the cap are paused. They still count toward the cap. They are not checked and they do not alert while paused. They stay paused until you unpause them. An upgrade does not unpause them. You cannot add another hostname until the total, paused hostnames included, is under the cap. You get under the cap by deleting hostnames. Pausing does not free a slot.
Report pages and channels follow the new plan immediately. Creating a report, or turning on a channel, that the new plan does not include is refused. This page does not describe what happens to report pages already created if a downgrade leaves the account over the report-page cap.
Do paused domains count?
Yes. A paused hostname counts toward the domain cap on every plan. Domainvane does not check it and does not alert on it until you unpause it. Deleting a hostname removes it from the cap.
You can pause a hostname yourself. A downgrade or a cancel-to-Free can also pause the newest hostnames that sit over the new cap. Those paused-by-limit hostnames follow the same rule: they count, they are quiet, and an upgrade leaves them paused.
Refunds
Refunds are not offered unless a policy is published or the law requires one.
